Choose the Right Car Alarm System for your Car?

My friend attended a birthday party at Bandar Sunway,Butterworth yesterday. After finish the dinner ,he paced up and down at the backstreet but he still could not find his car. All of the sudden, he has a bad presage in his mind that his car might be stolen, so he went to the police station nearby to report to the police.

I still remembered that my manager's car is being stolen at Bandar Sunway last year after he attending a dinner. Once i heard the news from my friend, the first thing that jumpped into my mind is they might not install the right car alarm system for their car.

To choose the right car alarm system that suit to our car, off course the most important is our budget. Do research online, through friends, at local auto shops and with the local police. These resources will help us from wasting money.

Besides, we should consider security features to make the audio system or cabin more theft-proof. It is better to install motion sensors that keep our alarm functional even without a roof over it. If affordable, we can add a theft-tracker which will help us to get car back and catch the thieves if it has stolen.

Save Gas Fuel of Our Car

We are facing various type of increment nowsdays. From flour to vegetables, from car petrol to gas fuel, increment has made our life turn into strict budgeting. We can choose not to eat mee or vegetables to avoid over budget, but we could not escape from spending in petrol and gas fuel as we need car to travel from a place to a place such as work.

Recently i was practicing some method to save gas fuel and i found that it is efficient. I would like to share with you here..

1. Change engine oil or auto oil and service our engine at car maintainance shop accordingly

2. Drive at the speed limit! Dont over speed and always keep tires inflated at the proper level.

3. Dont brake in a sudden and easy on the gas when accelerating.

4. Many people like to "throw" everything into the car, so it is good to remove unnecessary items from your car.

Tire Blowout? Handle it !

There are many cases of accidents happened in Malaysia esspecially during celebration of certain festivals. Some are because of the carelessness of drivers, some are because of drunk driver, and some are because of tire blowout and brake faulty.

Once tire blowout, try to hold our steeling in a straight course. Slowly let up off the gas pedal to gradually decrease the speed. Remember do not stop quickly after a blowout as it will increase the chances of losing control. After that, turn on signal and drift toward the side of the road slowly and park your car and turn on its hazard lights to alert passing traffic. If we do change the tire, it is better to have a passenger to keep a close watch on traffic to provide us some protection so that the passing traffic would aware of our extra warning and reduce tragedy from happening.

Start a Car But Car Battery is Low

My family and I went to my cousin's wedding dinner last Saturday. After finishing the dinner, my husband and I went to the car park to drive our car. When we reached the car park, there is a girl who was trying to start her car but failed. Without any delay, my husband and I walked towards to her car to give a hand.

We found that her car battery was low, therefore she could not start the car. Luckily we always have the jumper cables in our car, so my husband drove our car near to her car, and attached jumper cables from our car battery to the girl's car.

After that, my husband started our car and let it run with the cables attached to her car for about five minutes. Then the girl attemptted to start her car and finally her car can be started through the connectivity from our car.

She appreciated and kept saying thousand thank to us. I learned to start a car if battery is low this time, but the most important is we need to have the jumper cables in order to attach the connectivity from other car's battery.

Car Insurance

A friend of mine contacted me last weekend regarding the car insurance. Her car's insurance is going to be expired and she would like to renew it with affordable value.

I asked her if her car ever involved in accidents as this is the main issue to determine the budget. If her car is "free" from accident record, then she will be waived for the NCB deduction ( the NCB amount is quite big if compare to non-NCB deduction)

In my opinion, to get an affordable insurance, we need to drive safely in every moment. It is because our driving history is the number one factor insurance companies use when calculating an insurance quote. Besides, buying car insurance online to cutting out the middleman will help us to save extra money. The last thing that we need to take in consideration is to buy minimum coverage , minimum liability coverage according to our car's market value, it will definitely save our more money than carrying a large, full coverage policy.

Maintain New Car

My friend just bought a new Myvi car last month. She is very good in "taking care" of her car. She wore the seat with beautiful seater cloths and keep the interior of car tidyly and neatly.

I told her that the most important things to maintain a car is not maintain from internally. There should be smart in maintaining as below...

1. Avoid hard or frequent starts and stops

2. Check oil and coolant frequently

3. The oil should be changed at 1000 miles. Then begin the 5000 mile schedule.

4. Change fuel filter approximately once a year to prolong the life of fuel pump

Car Smell~~Bye Bye

I drived my parents to night market last Saturday. My parents started complaining my car smelly since they entered. I dint realize that my car is smelly all the way as i sent my car to car wash monthly or quarterlly.

Since my parents complained about this issue, i started to "kill" the smell last Sunday at home. Oh my godness, i found that my floor mats was soiled with some stain liquip. I went to a car accessories shop to buy a heavy-duty auto-upholstery cleaner. After that, i applied the digester to the affected area with a sponge, and openned all the windows to let the spot air gone.

After that, i burned a stick of incense to refresh my car interior and placed a small bottle of sesame oil on the dashboard of car. The foul smell was gone within an hour.

Haha..I think i need to check my car mats and seat always to prevent the offensive odor " visit" my car again..

How to clean tire rims?

I think most of the driver among us will face the same problem in how to clean our car tire rims esspecially after we passing by mud pit / morass and our tire rims caked with crud.

I came across a small tips of Rims cleaning from newspaper, just want to share it with you..

1. First and foremost, spray brake cleaner on the worst part of your rims.

2. After that, allow cleaner to sit for a minute or so.

3. Finally, scrub the area and your rims will be perfect and shiny.
